He cannot have been a son of Gilbert Holcombe. Even though this is claimed in various works, including Hansen's English Origins of the Mary & John Passengers. Thomas Holcombe had person sources.2,3,4,5 He immigrated in 1630. The estate of Thomas Holcombe was probated on 1 October 1657 in Windsor, Hartford, Conn.4
