John Witt
M, #16039, b. say 1617, d. 2 December 1675
Biography
John Witt was born say 1617.1 He and Elizabeth [Witt] were married say 1636. He died on 2 December 1675 in Lynn, Essex, Massachusetts.2 There are a number of rather poor, fragmentary accounts of John Witt in various town histories (e.g. Lynn, Brookfield, etc.) The best account seems to be in Early Lynn Families. Lindburg suggests that Ann, Jonathan, Elizabeth, John, Sarah and Mary are by his first wife, Elizabeth and Martha, Thomas & Ebenezer are by second wife Sarah. John Witt had person sources.1 He lived in Lynn, Essex, Massachusetts, from 1650. He made a will on 12 September 1675.2,1 The estate of John Witt was probated on 28 March 1676 in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts.2
