Family: Amasa Lathrop (b. 30 September 1792, d. 15 November 1871)
Biography
Lucinda Clark was born on 23 September 1796 in New Milford, Litchfield, Connecticut.1 Amasa Lathrop and she were married say 1818. She died on 1 November 1856 at age 60 in Roxbury, Litchfield, Connecticut.2 She was buried at Roxbury Center Cemetery in Roxbury, Litchfield, Connecticut.2 (Lucinda Clark's parents are suspect. The Lathrop Genealogy lists her name and as being of New Milford but does not list her parents. Avery Clark and Anna Walkley were suggested by the IGI and PRF. She is not listed among Avery Clark's children in Southington's history (1875). However, the Barbour Collection does show a Lucinda Clark, the dau. of Avery. That she was Lucinda Clark is supported by the death certificate of her daughter Lydia Wheeler. She was not listed among the daughers in Avery Clark's 1842 will. There was a Lucinda, who was listed as the daughter of his deceased son, Avery, but the age would be wrong.) Lucinda Clark had person sources.3 Amasa Lathrop and she appeared in the census on 14 November 1850 in Roxbury, Litchfield, Connecticut.4
