His name was also spelled Roland Harris. Rowland Harris, Sr., lived at the gap above Ft. Loudon in Franklin Co, Pennsylvania. SAR nr. P-175994. DAR nr. A051872. He had person sources.² He received a land grant on 5 June 1761 in Franklin Co, Pennsylvania. He paid supply tax 1779,1780,1781,1782 between 1779 and 1782 in Franklin Co, Pennsylvania. He served in the military in 1780/81.³ He was mentioned in the Carlisle Gazette. on 23 December 1789 in Carlisle, Cumberland, Pennsylvania.⁴ He made a will on 3 March 1797 in Peters Township, Franklin, Penn.^5,6 The estate of Rowland Harris, Sr., was probated on 19 April 1797 in Franklin Co, Pennsylvania.
