Clark Benjamin Newcomb was born about 1809.
When he and his siblings were adopted out, after their parents' deaths, he appears to have been adopted by a hard taskmaster, from whom he ran away. He was said to have gone to St. Louis and worked as a hatter. Timothy Cole Crosby was born about 1760 in Connecticut. He and Eunice Sutliff were married on 26 February 1787 in West Hartland, Hartford, Connecticut.1 He died before March 1811 in Vernon, Trumbull, Ohio. He was buried at Pioneer Cemetery in Vernon, Trumbull, Ohio.

Tully Crosby was born about 1795. He and Lucy Bushnell were married on 20 October 1819 in Trumbull Co, Ohio.1 He died intestate between December 1820 and 1822.
After his father's death (1811), guardianship of Tully was given to Gen. Martin Smith "till 21". He was probably born 3 years before his sister Eunice (i.e. 1795). No record of any children except the girl under 10 in the census of 1820. Tully Crosby was appointed a ward of Martin Smith in September 1812 in Trumbull Co, Ohio.2 He appeared in the census in December 1820 in Vernon, Trumbull, Ohio. She was named an executor for the will of Lyman Hine on 12 April 1859.6 She appeared in the census in 1860 in Shalersville, Portage, Ohio. Lyman Hine and she appeared in the census in June 1870 in Shalersville, Portage, Ohio. The estate of Sabina (Sabrina) Crosby was probated between 19 July 1876 and 22 January 1878 in Portage Co., Ohio.

He was appointed a ward of Martin Smith in September 1812 in Trumbull Co, Ohio.3 He was reappointed a ward of Martin Smith in July 1821 in Trumbull Co, Ohio.4 He and Marinda Parsons appeared in the census on 5 October 1850 in Shalersville, Portage, Ohio.5 He appeared in the census on 28 June 1860 in Ravenna, Portage, Ohio.6

Obed Crosby was born on 22 July 1753 in East Haddam, Middlesex, Connecticut.1 He and Jerusha Phelps were married on 28 October 1781. He died 13 January 1813 or 29 January 1813 in Trumbull Co, Ohio.2,3 He was buried at Pioneer Cemetery in Vernon, Trumbull, Ohio.4
Obed Crosby served in the military in the Revolutionary War about 1775.3 He was admitted to the church on 23 March 1787 in West Hartland, Hartford, Connecticut.5 He was named an administrator of the estate of Timothy Cole Crosby in March 1811 in Trumbull Co, Ohio.6,7,8 The estate of Obed Crosby was probated on 5 April 1813 in Trumbull Co, Ohio.9,10

Jeduthon Crosby & Thegia Bushnell (his wife) were admitted to the church at Hartland CT 2 Nov 1806. Jeduthon Crosby was baptized (infant) on 7 July 1776 in East Hartland, Hartford, Conn.1 He appointed guardian to his brother Starling's daughters: Lydia & Candace on 4 February 1803 in Simsbury, Hartford, Connecticut.2 He was admitted to the church on 2 November 1806 in West Hartland, Hartford, Connecticut.3
