She was of Haverhill and the heroine of the Indian massacre in New Hampshire."

"Hannah (Webster) Emerson bore 15 children although only 8 of them lived to maturity. Her daughter, Elizabeth, must have caused her great anguish and her daughter, Hannah, great concern when she was captured by Indians.
