Biography

Gabriel Duvall was born on 6 December 1752 in Queen Anne, Queen Anne's, Maryland, United States.1 He and Mary Brice were married on 24 July 1787.2 He and Jane Gibbon, of Philadelphia, were married on 5 May 1795 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He died on 6 March 1844 at age 91 in Glenn Dale, Prince George's, Maryland.3,4
Some sources give his parents as Benjamin Duvall (1719-c. 1801) and Susanna Tyler Duvall (1717/18-1794). She died not long after giving birth to their only child. Between 1811 and 1835 Gabriel Duvall was an Assoicate Justice, US Supreme Court.3 The estate of Gabriel Duvall was probated on 2 April 1844 in Prince Georges Co., Maryland.5
