(There appear to have been two different Moab Ellises in Winston County but there is scant evidence for the one who married Emma Cooper, a census record in 1900 and a headstone. This needs more research.) There are at least two Moab Ellis families. This may be wrong. Moab R Ellis and Luticia C Bennett appeared in the census on 30 June 1880 in Plattsburg, Winston, Mississippi.² He and Emma Frances Cooper appeared in the census in 1900 in Louisville, Winston, Mississippi. He appeared in the census in 1910 in Louisville, Winston, Mississippi. He appeared in the census in 1920 in Winston Co., Mississippi. He and Emma Frances Cooper appeared in the census in 1920 in Louisville, Winston, Mississippi.

He and Edith Amanda ("Edy") Watson appeared in the census on 28 June 1860 in Pontotoc, Mississippi.³ He and Edith Amanda ("Edy") Watson appeared in the census on 11 July 1870 at Township 13, Range 10, in Winston Co., Mississippi.⁴ He and Edith Amanda ("Edy") Watson appeared in the census on 30 June 1880 in Plattsburg, Winston, Mississippi.⁵
