There were at least 3 and possibly 5 or 6 by the name of John Cox. There were at least 2 by the name of Thomas Cox. There were at least 2 by the name of Richard Cox."

"There is no general agreement as to which belonged to our Cox family and which entries in the records pertain to them. There is even less agreement as to their children, with the exception of William (who left a will.)"
