Strassel age 34. It is only speculation that Elizabeth is the daughter of John & Caroline. There was also a Michael Strausel b. c. 1842 in Germany who might have been her father. As of 1845, John Adam Strasel was also known as Pierre Strasel. From 1850 John Adam Strasel was a copper and tinsmith in Algiers, Orleans, Louisiana.3,4,5 He and Anne Barbe Caroline Rupperich appeared in the census on 6 August 1850 at the "Right Bank" in Orleans Parish, Louisiana.6 He appeared in the census on 20 June 1860 in Algiers, Orleans, Louisiana.7 He appeared in the census on 22 June 1870 in Algiers, Orleans, Louisiana.8 The estate of John Adam Strasel was probated from 25 July 1875 to 1 October 1875 in New Orleans, Orleans, Louisiana.9
