Richard is the first Childerstone from which descent can be proved. There are records of Childerstones in Mildenhall which go back to 1229 AD but these are fragmentary and do not support genealogical proof. They are, however, undoubtedly the same family. Reference nr. WJC_A1. Richard Chyldeston had person sources.1,2 He made a will on 12 April 1456 in Mildenhall, Suffolk. The estate of Richard Chyldeston was probated on 27 September 1457 in the Archdeaconry of Sudbury.
