He served in the military from 14 February 1865 to 4 September 1865 in The Civil War.5 He and Adeline Kell appeared in the census on 30 June 1870 in Clinton Co., Illinois.6 He was named an executor for the will of James Harris ("Harry") Childerston on 24 November 1877 in Clinton Co., Illinois.7 Richard Harris Childerston and Adeline Kell appeared in the census in 1880 in Wade Township, Clinton, Illinois. He applied for a military pension on 7 February 1898. He and Adeline Kell appeared in the census on 6 June 1900 in Bond Co, Illinois. He and Adeline Kell appeared in the census in 1910 in Wheatfield Township, Clinton, Ill. As of 1919, Richard Harris Childerston was also known as Harry R. Childerson.

Biography
Ezra Crosby was born about 1788.1 He and Cynthia Beeds were married. He died on 9 December 1848 in New Castle, Lawrence, Penn.+.2,3 Ezra Crosby was baptized (infant) on 19 October 1788 in West Hartland, Hartford, Connecticut.4,2 He was living in February 1839.3
